We’ve hit another milestone... thanks for 2000 page likes, everyone! As far as advertising goes, we have spent virtually no money on either traditional or Internet advertising. I am incredibly proud of the fact that we have relied almost solely on word-of-mouth from our loyal supporters, and the opportunities given to us by the free platform that is Facebook. I’ve always been a believer in guerrilla marketing and grassroots support, and so I try my best to consistently produce quality content that fits the Dorky Porky brand; that is, the idea of having fun while we work and generally not taking ourselves so seriously! While we are competitive with fellow BBQ’ers, we are humble people who truly enjoy what we do, and we hope that shows in our daily interactions. Again, we want to thank the people of South Point for welcoming us into the Village, the supporters who (quite literally) followed us back in the early 2010s when we had no experience in the business, the day-one customers who have stuck with us since this current form of Dorky Porky BBQ was a two-person tent operation, and everyone else who has decided to give us a shot. We are so thankful to be able to serve new customers every single day, and we wouldn’t want to do it anywhere else but the Village. Thank you!
